Bob Andrews

Not many people have managed to make successful careers from such disparate interests as industrial fire fighting, police dog training, political campaign management, and vintage railroad car restoration, but Bob Andrews has. As President and CEO of the Bob Andrews Group LLC, Bob is an American entrepreneurial success story.

Bob has turned many of his childhood dreams into thriving business ventures. He has responded to over 300 emergencies in oil refining, petrochemical, port, and related facilities, and his company is a leader in industrial fire protection services. His life-long passion for rail travel has led him to form The Catalpa Falls Group, which provides private charter service on vintage 1949-era Pullman rail cars.

While his interests are varied, there is always one common theme – Bob brings unbridled enthusiasm, optimism, and success to anything he chooses to pursue.

George Payne

A veteran of the railroad business, George Payne and his wife Marcia have owned the Catalpa Falls longer than the Pennsylvania Railroad did. Train enthusiasts both, George and Marcia have preserved and cared for the Catalpa Falls since 1972. Now as a partner of The Catalpa Falls Group, George’s extensive train knowledge serves as an essential element in helping the firm deliver authentic experiences to travelers.

Eric Payne

Eric has always been around trains. Some of his earliest childhood memories include watching Amtrak trains in Detroit’s crumbling Michigan Central Station. He spent several years working alongside his father on excursion trains and private car trips aboard the Catalpa Falls, with highlights including the Ohio State Fair Steam Excursions and the famous New River Gorge excursions. Eric is the Director of Marketing, Advertising, and Social Media for The Catalpa Falls Group, where his tasks include project management, marketing, advertising, event planning, and the occasional equipment restoration.
